The comic page is under construction at the moment…
You will see lots of random and unfinished information. I’m working on it here – It’s not as easy as it may seem. I am getting a checklist together – complete with variants and all – for all who have asked. Enjoy.

Hi,
I was hoping you might be able o point me in the right direction I’m trying to find out how much my Hulk vs Wolverine #181 Its not great condition and I know there is a grading process. Anyway any help would be appreciated. Thanks
February 7, 2008 at 2:19 am
First the good news…
#181 is always in demand. Even terrible copies sell. A mint copy sells for about $2,000 right now.
The bad news…
Yours probably isn’t worth $2000.
Graders look at everything from the cover to the spine, the staples, the page color of your comic. Everything. Your copy is still worth some money, I’m sure, but since I can’t see it I can’t even give you a ball park.
The best place to go to see what graders look at is right here:

Hope that helps – Ratchet

HI i have just started my quest into the hulk franchise except i am focusing my whole life around only the comics. i have only got around 30 comics so far but already the gf is starting to hate me, i was wondering if you have a list of sorts that you have created so far which tells all of what there is to collect hulk wise, i will of course be checking up your process and i will try to keep you up with mine.

If your girlfriend hates the 30 comics – just wait until you have only 30 left to get! (Like me!) Actually, my wife has started to get all excited that I am almost finished collecting the comics because she has been in this search with me for 4 years now and would love to see it come to an end.
Interesting idea about a checklist. I will get to work on that.
The only advice I have for you on collecting the comics is to try to get the silver age stuff now (Hulk 1 – 6) because they are only getting more expensive and harder to find.
June 23, 2008 at 6:40 pm
I am curious to know what Hulk parodies you have, if any. I have one called Osma Bin Hulk; I picked it up on Harvard Street at New England Comics. It came in a Civil War parody comic.
June 23, 2008 at 6:47 pm
Also I do not see the What If: Wolverine had Killed the Hulk, granted it’s more about Wolverine but did I miss that in your collection?
June 23, 2008 at 6:56 pm
I didn’t pick up any of the parodies – but I do have that “What If?” It is in my collection, and one of my favorites of the What If Hulk stories…
June 24, 2008 at 11:32 am
What exactly got you into the Hulk? Just wondering.
June 29, 2008 at 8:25 pm
Hey! I also collect HULK comics… I was wondering if u could please tell me where I could find the really old ones… i would relly appreciate that.
THANKS!

July 1, 2008 at 3:23 am

July 1, 2008 at 5:11 am
Thanks Ben – I will see about checking it out.

Hulk Vs. Fing fang foom was funny, “You take everywhere else or leave…. On second thought LEAVE!!!” and he throws FFF to the moon
December 14, 2008 at 1:37 am
Yup – classic one-shot written by a master.
January 12, 2009 at 8:31 pm
Do you restrict your comic collection to a certain grade. Do you have a certain standard? Like nothing below NM/VF? I am working on silver age and keep running into so many different conditions and prices, ranging from outrageous to too good to be true.
April 20, 2009 at 4:51 pm
hello i have a copy of the incredible hulk #255
April 23, 2009 at 4:04 am
i have over 1oo hulk comics from 1973 – 1993 and i was wondering how much the whole collection was worth
April 23, 2009 at 11:40 am
Depends on what condition and such… as a whole the lot could be worth a little bit – trying to sell them seprately – they won’t be worth much…
April 23, 2009 at 9:32 am
Do you have the rampaging hulk magazine aswell? If your looking for killer hulk cover artwork, thats it. My childhood copies were damaged, i just re-bought them in NM.
April 23, 2009 at 11:40 am
Just finished that run – the covers are outstanding!
April 23, 2009 at 3:28 pm
i got big Lou to sign #24 i think it was when he was in Winnipeg for a convention…Great stuff.
May 17, 2009 at 7:40 pm
Hi Ratchet! This is a handy list shaping up – thanks for such an outstanding site! Can I add Iron Man #9 – “There lives a Green Goliath”? I just bought a copy today at the collectors’ fair in London: very nice!
July 27, 2009 at 9:21 pm
Simon- That is a great ish, too bad Hulk is just a robot, also they reprinted that ish in IronMan #76 with different Hulk feet on the cover. Funny, the Eternals #14,15 also fought a power cosmic Hulk robot too. Ratch- I know it’s not a complete list, but when you are updating it, don’t forget Inc Hulk vs. Superman, Batman vs. Inc Hulk and Unlimted Access#1 where Hulk meets Green Lantern. Also Marvel’s the END series, where Doc Strange and Subby are killed, but fellow Defenders Hulk and Surfer continued in battle. And Secret Wars 2 #8 where Hulk attacks the Beyond by himself. These are just a few that come to mind. All in all, you have a great list.

Just an odd question out of the blue. Who was
spying on the Leader in TIH 344 ?
July 30, 2009 at 9:29 pm
Sorry Anthony, I will get that issue out and take a look and get back to you…
August 1, 2009 at 5:50 am
I found the answer on a Comic Book Resources
forum. Apparently the three fingered character
and the insect looking character were supposed to
be the wizards who summoned the Hulk in
TIH 351 and 352.
Peter David said he was bewildered that some
people didn’t make the connection. He said
Mcfarlane added detailed that he neither asked
for nor wanted.
They did mention in TIH 351 that they were using
Psyklop’s viewer to search for the Hulk and I
knew the scene in TIH 344 was connected in
some way to those issues but because of their
non human appearance I never did make the
connection to the wizards. Apparently I
wasn’t the only one. Some people were also
confused by the way the characters were
drawn. One person who posted thought it
was supposed to be Madman.
August 1, 2009 at 6:22 am
Well, that’s good to know – I didn’t even get to take the issue out yet – glad you had the chance to enlighten us all Anthony!
August 1, 2009 at 7:52 am
Check the artwork in 344 and let me know what you think ? Why wouldn’t Peter David at least request that Todd Mcfarlane redraw the panel in question.
I always thought there was something I
was missing based upon the appearance of
the characters.
When you first read TIH 351 did you just
presume artistic license when Todd drew
the panel in TIH 344 or just assume that
Mcfarlane might not have known the full
plot ?
August 1, 2009 at 3:29 pm
I just went back and took a look at those issues – I know Todd took an artistic license with a lot of his stuff – but that was a bit crazy – I can’t see how anyone would make the connection between the two. Thanks for dropping some knowledge on us!
August 3, 2009 at 5:46 am
Another comic question and this time I promise
I won’t answer my own post ! Did they ever explain
how the Abomination got free of the magna
bracelets ? The Bruce Jones Abomination storyline
was revealed to a dream created by Nightmare.
The Marvel Chronology Project doesn’t even
list those issues. The next issue I have with
Abomination is She Hulk 15 and I don’t remember
an explanation.
August 4, 2009 at 1:22 am
I can’t find any instance of the Abomination being released – or anyone else saying how it happened – but to be fair, I believe the Tempest Fugit storyline didn’t say what was and what wasn’t a dream… it just said that past events were made up – and we were left not knowing just what that meant.
August 3, 2009 at 8:55 pm
Ratch- instead of pulling out that comic that could be under 5 other comic boxes, put in your PC the Incre Hulk- the complete col. DVD-rom software. It has even the ads and letter pages. To my astonishment I’m now part of Hulk history, if your smart you’ll fine me easy. By the way, I’m shocked to see that World War Hulk series is not up there. Blaspheme I say, lol.
August 3, 2009 at 11:49 pm
As good as it is it doesn’t include the Hard Knocks
series and my edition has the wrong icon for
one of the Hulk Annuals. The X-man Hulk icon
is for Hulk Sub-Mariner. The X-Man annual isn’t
included.
On the plus side and there are many, I don’t want to sound like a nitpicker, you also get the Giant Man Sub-Mariner stories from the TTA series the Masterwork editions leave out.
I love the letters page being included as well and
it is a very handy reference. I would love a
volume 2 with WWH and guest appearances.
August 4, 2009 at 1:24 am
WWH isn’t where? On the CD-ROM? Because I did include it on the page, including all the variants!
I have been looking into getting that CD-ROM which looks nice but I can’t figure purchasing it when I have all the TPB and comics sitting downstairs!
August 5, 2009 at 10:01 pm
Glad to see that little by little your expanding your list and what a list it’s going to be. By the way heads up, SuperHeroSquad Hulk Himalaya Toy R us Only is out. It’s pretty big, compared to other Hulk Squad figs and it’s in a box with other figs for $34.99.
