Just got this one. I think Mark Sylvestri (I don’t know if that is spelt right) is so much better when he inks his own stuff. Alot of inkers seem to muddle his drawings too much. Alot of the posters that I have I got for free… some way or another. This one Corry gave me. Others I will tell you about later.
UPDATE: As the comment says – this poster is done by Michael Turner. Ans it is the variant cover to Hulk #100 – which I did know – but than you to Corry for so politely explaining that in his comment.
This is really heavy. I bought 2 when they first came out – I used one and it lasted for a while – but eventually broke off the chain. I think this is a good piece. Maybe some day I will break this package open and use this one as well.
Who am I kidding?
I actually bought these. From Toys R Us. By myself. I think I was alone too. What that cashier must’ve been thinking. She must’ve thought it was so weird, right?
Well, maybe it didn’t help matters that I wasn’t wearing any pants – but still…
These were a gift. Weird right? Someone gets you a gift- you open it and… it’s napkins. I think I even thanked the person who got me them. I think it was my friend Kelly. When I found these in the storgae bin where I keep them – I was laughing – thinking to myself, I can’t wait to put these on the website! So here they are.
These are the Luck Boxes I have so far. Most are novelty lunch pails, not really used for lunches. The only genuine lunchbox in this set is the metal one with Spiderman and the Hulk on it. The otherside features Captian America, who died this year, so it’s not a real HULK lunch box. I’ve seen many of these on ebay going for waaaayyy too much, so I will wait and see what comes my way.
Notice the re-coloring of the Hulk from grey to green on the lunchbox featuring Incredible Hulk #1? They do that a few times with items that I have. Boo to that. It’s like when they go back and colorize old movies. It just shouldn’t be done.
Another Applause product from ’97. I think I actually used this once or twice. It’s a fun piece – and out of all the mugs/glasses/cups that I have it is one of the better representations of the Hulk.
This is one of my favorite covers. Mostly because of the guy in the front yelling “Kill him!” Then he clarifies “Kill the Hulk!” Like one of the soldiers was thinking “Who did he mean? Kill him? Who him? I need direction here!” It actually doesn’t even look like he’s pointing at the Hulk. It looks like he’s pointing at the guy with the Gatling gun.
The story is with Maximus and the Inhumans and of course, General Ross. Stan Lee wrote this cool issue, but for me, it’s all about the indecipherable cover.
