Hulk Weekend… Good.

I am not super enthusiastic about the Hulk’s haul this weekend making about 55 million.  It was the #1 movie – but really, I was hoping for far better numbers.  The original Hulk did better than this it’s first weekend.  Of course they promoted it a lot better last time too.  But with pretty solid reviews I’m hoping this Hulk has the legs to keep pretty steady business at least for a few weeks.  I know its tough with the Summer Blockbusters coming out one after the other…

Imean, come on, who isn’t stoked about The Dark Knight?

P.S. The photo has nothing to do with this post in general – just found a pretty funny site that I thought some might want to take a look at.  Click on the image.

  1. Ryan remember that the first Hulk dropped like 70% by the second weekend. This was due to the movie being horrible, bad word of mouth and even worse reviews. Movies can keep their “legs”, like Iron Man, and be box office successes. Time will tell. Be patient, my friend.

  2. Yeah – I hope so… would love to see a sequel with these characters all back.

  3. I think movie-goers-ship in general has declined greatly. So I wouldn’t judge by the first weekend. If the movie is good, the overall gross will exemplify that.

So what did you think of the movie?

  4. Tim Blake Nelson has said he is signed for 3 movies and will be the main villain in #2. We’ll know if a sequel is coming in a couple of weeks (or days) since they’re already preparing for it. If $55 mil is good enough for Marvel we’ll see it soon enough. Iron Mans sequel was announced less than a week after the movie opened, so you shouldn’t have much suspense.

  5. Dont be sad. Most people dont have the cash and the gas these days

  6. so far, 200 mil worldwide. i guess that is decent, which is the best way to describe the movie. hopefully there will be enough good faith for a sequel
