If you weren’t alive during the Beanie Baby craze you will never understand what it was like to see grown women – and when I say grown women I don’t mean “adult” women – I mean senior citizen women pushing each other aside to get at the tiny pellet-filled new releases. Women, practically frothing at the mouth, asking why “Crunch” the Shark was already sold out and when were we getting more. It was both ugly and amazing. I even know of at least two different comic shops that started selling Beanie Babies just to cash in on the phenomenon.
Well, somehow and someway Ty was able to survive the collapse of the Beanie Baby empire and continued to create small and adorable plush. They just released Marvel characters. The Hulk is great with an angry expression over what I can only assume is having such beautiful, silky hair.
