I’m unsure what but the Marvel Brick Headz come in a blue box… all but the Hulk here who comes in a cool looking red box. I know this was a “maybe” in the attribute department but I just could not let it sit on the shelf when I saw the Captain America version too. I picked up both and my daughter and I went to town creating the two figures.
There’s really nothing to do with this figure but let it sit there and look all blocky. In fact, I tried to use it as a centerpiece until one of my friends walked in and said “What the hell is that?” I immediately placed it deep and hidden in the Hulk room. Where it camouflages nicely against all the other green goodness!
Not sure that was the best comeback – but Hulk has never been known as the smart one… unless you consider the merged Hulk.
In a time when Peter had no idea if Mary Jane was alive or not and was very volatile he ran into the Hulk and the two duked it out. The Hulk was angry with the world for believing he was guilty of taking a plane out and killing a bunch of people. As usual, the world was grossly misinformed.
Spider-Man really does his absolute worst to the Hulk, including this extremely odd bit that taken out of context takes on a whole new meaning!:
|Hero vs. Hero
Ultimately, Spider-Man breaks his hands in trying to release his pent up aggression and the Hulk sympathizes with the bleeding superhero and the two together save a train from crashing. It’s a pretty fantastic story with a sweet and sad moment of two heroes trying to understand each other.
Can you name them all? They cheat a little with initials – I could do it without the cheat sheet – but can you? No googling!
The search for the Hulk faces are over (I think?) and I could not be happier. There are times when I see that Marvel has released a new set of something with blind boxes (or bags) and I curse them. I get why they are a good idea – but it doesn’t stop me from hating him so much.
The emoji face balls, as I call them, are both hilarious and confusingly useless. They don’t bounce, so they don’t act like a ball, and they aren’t much more than the little round head so… very ball shaped. I’ve also found a Hulk pin that was released with the artwork for the angry Hulk face. So now I can carry I’m everywhere!
Sometimes being left alone isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. The Hulk might not want others around but then you’re just left alone with your thoughts. When you’re as monosyllabic as the Savage Hulk and things don’t make sense it can only make you confused and… as he puts it… sadder and sadder. Maybe it’s time for the Hulk to remember it’s not about being left alone – it’s about surrounding yourself with the right people!
