Oh Hey! Did You Hear?

Marvel is restarting their universe… again.  Yup, it seems like a cruel joke that never ends at this point but I stopped reading the Hulk due to all the nonsense like this – maybe it’s time to give Marvel a rest completely!  How can they seriously expect people to get excited about this announcement after all these years of doing this crap over and over?  Click the image for the link.

What is the point of comics if you don’t read them? Don’t be one of those CGC slabbing comic book “collectors”! Make sure to read them over and over again! Here is a list of what I’ve been reading from my collection:

The Green Goblin (1996)
W: DeFalco / A: Kobasic, Ramos
Issue I’m Reading – #6-7
Total Issues in the Series – #13
The new Green Goblin is still struggling with how he can become a hero.  Dare Devil makes an appearance to help stop an assassin kill his Uncle Ben and then in the following issue he faces a contrived villain called “The Slammer”.  I still like the way Phillip is adjusting to being the new Green Goblin and Liz Osborn coming into the picture demanding to have information on the new Goblin so she can reclaim the stolen tech is a great side story

Superman vs The Incredible Hulk (1999)
W: Stern / A: Rude, Milgrom
Issue I’m Reading – #1
Total Issues in the Series – #1
The Classic Supes and Classic Hulk meet in a beat down for the ages!  The Hulk and Superman trade blows and keep the hits coming in an action packed crossover event.  This is a great issue that every comic fan should read!  It sort of answers the age-old question of who would win in a fight – Hulk or Superman?  I, being one of the ultimate Hulk fans, would like to say the Hulk – but let’s all be real here: Supes would beat the Hulk.  I’m not saying it would be easy I’m just saying the outcome would be inevitable.

Series: B+

Catwoman(1993)
W: Duffy/Dixon / A: Balent
Issues I’m Reading – #1-6
Total Issues in the Series – #94
I’ve spent a long time trying to collect all of the issues to this unforgettable series.  The only real issue trying to read these issues is the crazy amount of tie-ins with Batman and Batman related series.  At least Marvel throws in the tie-in issues with a few of their trades – DC throws that convenience right out the window! The opening to the series stat off strong.  Needing to collect all of the other tie-in issues will be a bit of bother – but I will also be a new project – so… win!

Batman (2017)
W: King / A: Janin
Issue I’m Reading- #32 & Annual #2
Total Issues in the Series (so far) – #39
The War of Jokes and Riddles finishes strong with an answer to Bruce’s proposal to Selina.  This only is emphasized by the beautifully written Annual #2 with a look a the life that Bruce and Selina share.

So far: A

Anyways, what are you guys reading from your collection?
