Funko Pop! Walmart Exclusive Hulk Chrome – Green (2019)

IMG_1789 (2)

I can see this color chrome being the one most Hulk collectors wanting.  For OBVIOUS reasons.  I do like the look of this particular one though and with the green stone representing time it’s just that much cooler!

Funko Pop! Walmart Exclusive Hulk Chrome – Blue (2019)

All December long I will be featuring the Walmart exclusive chrome Hulks.  Two each week! They made for every color of the Infinity Stones.  Blue represented Space.  I guess that means you’re in charge of all space?  Does this means hoarders have one over on the power of this stone since every conceivable space in their dwellings is filled with something?  Either way, blue is my favorite so I as definitely always going to pick up this color!

Marvel 80th Anniversary Retro Hulk (2019)

The Hulk-world was suddenly set a blaze a few months ago when I was announced that Hasbro would finally release a Retro 80th Anniversary Hulk.  I know I was definitely one of the people beyond  excited! This line has been one of my favorites since the beginning with their bright and colorful cards and (even though quite a few were re-releases) perfectly sculpted figures!  When the Hulk was announced it was even said to be oversized – much like the Wolverine from this series was shorter than the regular figures to be consistent!

Then it was finally released – and immediately sold out.  It was one of the hottest tickets of SDCC.  They were immediately posted on eBay for double the price.  All this for a figure with the same body sculpt as the 80th Anniversary 2-pack but with a new head!  I was still there for it though – I thought being patient was the way to go.

Turns out, Hasbro announced that they would release some on Hasbro Pulse sometime at the end of August.  Sure enough I was going to be one of the lucky ones who was able to snag it off the Hasbro site!  So, yeah… that didn’t happen.  The figure was gone in mere seconds.  Well, eBay here I come!

I am not one to pay secondary prices but figured this was really going to be the only chance I was going to have to secure one.  Only problem?  With the figure selling out in seconds the price also jumped on eBay.  Now we were looking at $90 rather than a measly $70.

I still pulled the trigger figuring if I waited again I could see another price hike!  I didn’t want that so I went for it.  Not willing to spend another $90 I only have the one so I don’t have any out the box shots.  I was able to find few online so you could get a closer look at it:

But this guy is a huge mutha!  Here’s a comparison shot with the already enormous BAF Cull Obsidian:

Avengers: Endgame Wave 2 Hulk (2019)

IMG_1766 (2)

I remember seeing images hit the forums on this figure and the overall response was a hefty sigh.  Sure, we’d pick it up but it’s more out of obligation than a must have.  The only interesting piece of this figure is that it comes with the Stark invented gauntlet to hold the infinity stones.  This is the more affordable line so you know they don’t focus on the real articulation and perfect paint apps.  It’s fun enough and if you can find it at Target then it could be worth the pick up.

Marvel Legends Avengers: Endgame Wave 2 Hulk BAF (2019)

IMG_1778 (2)

Here is THE most controversial Hulk figure that hit the stands this past year.  A Hulk-less Wave 1 hit the stands and I was okay with that.  When wave 2 was announced I immediately dreaded hearing that there would be a BAF Hulk.  We all knew it would be a movie version Hulk – but would he be in his Quantum Realm suit?  Thankfully no – but then why did we get a classic Hulk body with such a goofy Ruffalo Hulk face?

IMG_1780 (2)

So you must pick up the whole wave to get the Hulk – but the Beta Ray Bill figure comes with 2 alternative heads .  So there will be the option to display this Hulk with a drab face or a nasty smirk.  Neither choice is all that pleasing.  We are getting a gauntlet in the later wave to place on to this Hulk’s hand but it still doesn’t explain the ripped purple pants body with the professor Hulk head.

Avengers: Endgame Funko Pop #451 Hulk Exclusive (2019)

IMG_1761 (2)

With Ragnarok serving us with at least 3 different Pop exclusives I thought we were going to get a straight forward Hulk Pop release this time around.  Especially since the Hulk was such a minor part to the story as a whole.  Sure enough – a month or 2 after release and no announcement I thought we were in the clear… and then Hot Topic came along.  At least it’s another glow in the dark Pop which is my favorite kind of exclusive.

Of course, this was another Pop/T-shirt set.  In order to get the size I need I would have had to order the set on line but honestly, I don’t care about the shirt at all.  I saved a few bucks and just snagged the Pop off of eBay.  Besides the glow feature there is no real difference between this and the regular offering so it’s really only completists that need to seek this out.

Avengers: Endgame Cosbaby Hulk (2019)

IMG_1782 (2)

I enjoy some of these stylized figures.  This Hulk Cosbaby might be one of the weaker additions to the line.  It’s not that the sculpt, paint apps or anything is out of place, it’s more the movie version of the Hulk that this reminds me of that is the problem.  The greying sides that look more appropriate on Reed Richards, the form fitting quantum suit.  It’s all a bitter reminder of what the Hulk family has endured watching the movie.

That being said, when you get something as a gift it’s really hard to complain about it.  It’s solid and adorable.  It definitely stands out as an eye-catching addition to the collection. Like I mentioned, there are far better Hulk pieces from this line and this one isn’t bad – just a reminder to what we were served from the unfortunate Aveners: Endgame.
