Thanjs for a great list to refer back too. Long time hulk fan and have everything from the Trimpe/Buscema run. I didn’t see it on your list, bit I seem to remember a Jim Starlin issue somewhere in the early 220s as well. (one of the few issues that Sal did not do in his long run on the book) I know Starlin did a great cover for 217 when I was a kid.

The art for Incredible Hulk Vol 1 issue 249 was done by Steve Ditko. Just thought I should mention it. For me the original Hulk died in Incredible Hulk #271, with a very short return in #272. But the comic itself continued in the same tone till #292. From #293 the tone has changed (especially after Secret Wars, which affected several titles) . Parts of Peter David’s run was pretty good, but it was definitely not a return to old days.
I have never liked the versions of Hulk where he is nothing but a raging destruction machine. If that was the version I had met as a kid, I would never have bothered to buy the comic.
