Wow.. this week was a doozy for us completists…buckle up kids because this week had a litany of Hulk releases! While it’s amazing that the Immortal Hulk is in such demand but the continuous printings are becoming a bit much.
We begin with the FIFTH printings of both issues #1 and #2. Not to mention that #2 has a virgin variant of the original cover that’s being sold for a premium:
We then move on to the FOURTH printings of issues #3 and #6:
But we’re not done yet! There are even more new printings – this time THRID printings of issues #7, #13, #14, #15 AND #16!
But hold on to your hats because the Facsimile Edition of Incredible Hulk #181 gets a second printing this week as well! The only way you can tell is the inside cover that tells you the date it was printed. It does not say SECOND PRINTING anywhere it just says this:
Spider-Man: Revenge of the Green Goblin (2000)
I know it’s not the Hulk – technically – but its still a great sighting in a comic I didn’t expect to see any green in! Well, not gamma green anyways…
I know it’s a thief in a Hulk mask but the illustrations are still fantastic – and I love when lifeless masks show emotions like this:
Someone on Facebook posted this idea. As much as they liked the Hulk corner box they thought the art above would have made an amazing alternative! What do you guys think?
I have been drawing the line more and more frequently these days. While I am still excited by quite a few awesome Hulk pieces the figure above from the Titan Series I left on the shelf. I also did not bother picking up the Hulk gun from the Endgame merchandise.
Mash ups are funny when they make sense. This is borderline – but still not all that funny.
As much as I would like to report that this 2-pack is brand new the truth is these pics are from a long while back – things I took pics of but never posted. I know I found this set when I was working at Toys R Us and can remember opening the case and pulling these out brand new!
The images are from the epic trio of issues where Iron Man tries to beat the Hulk but has a heck of a time doing so! The set comes with a mini-comic – things that really make items more desirable and more sought out. Personally, I love the mini-comics and hope more companies do this!
This year we will be delving deep into Hulk history to re-discover all the first appearances that the Hulk issues have given us over the years! With 1st appearances being such a hot trend these days it only makes sense to highlight some of the best Hulk issues to invest in this year! This week: Wolverine!
1st Appearance: The Incredible Hulk #180 (1974)
