The Hulk presented in this issue does not seem to be the Hulk that’s in the current series. You know that annoying trope in television shows where two people are talking about different things and but they think they are talking about the same thing and confusing wackiness ensues? Well, this is how the issue debuts – except for the wackiness. Hulk keeps telling Jen that he wants to be left alone, yet he was the one who sought her out to tell her this. This is followed by bystanders gathering and making the scene a little more dangerous.

Hulk starts to walk away until another She Hulk appears. This She Hulk is April Booth from the last series and is now a full blown She Hulk herself with stolen Hulk blood. There was a time when making a new Hulk was impossible as Gamma affected everyone differently. Now, it seems everyone becomes a Hulk by exposing themselves to Gamma.

Anyways, this She Hulk begins to battle Jen who asks for assistance from Bruce. Banner is uninterested in getting involved until April refers to herself as Hulk. This pisses Banner off and he joins in the battle. April throws the Hulk into a building and the structure falls on our hero.

While this issue actually had more action the Hulk was acting so off brand it was more distracting. It was better than the last issue but I still don’t think this series is written for me. Is anyone out there reading this book? What do you think?

I am a man. I like the world I live in. I would like it better if pumpkins were available year-round though...
