Hulk Movie Poster (2008)
Again, on the same day as I purchased the Annual #5 I was also given this poster, which hangs right behind my desk until June 13th! Man, I cannot wait! The poster is very reminisent of the old T.V. Show (by the way the 3rd and 4th seasons are out today!) But it’s so much better than the 2003 film poster. I want one movie poster that actually shows the Hulk in plain view though! Still, I can’t wait to see Mr. Orange take on the Hulk!
King Size Annual #5 (1976)
New England Comics in Brockton called me with news that they had received this comic in. I had never seen the cover and was looking to buy it – but when I actually saw the cover – I loved it right away! Look at the villians he fights! Blip! Groot! Goom! Titan! Taboo! And Blip looks a lot like ZZAXX. Man, this is possibly one of the greatest covers of all Hulk history! Titan looks like a second-rate Wendigo. Just plain awesome!
Hulk vs. Rhino Salt and Pepper Shakers (2005)
These are pretty cool – especially because they usually don’t make Hulk with the Rhino. It could be painted better but the sculpt is still pretty cool. Nice pairing. As they are getting ready to battle the seasoning will fly! Rhino’s more of a Spiderman villian and a second rate one at that – but a heavy hitter none-the-less. Also, there is a great comic where Hulk and Rhino play baseball. Pretty classic!
Hulk Towel (2008)
This is the new Hulk towel out – and it’s almost big enough for me to use! Actually it’s a bit thin. I like my towels thick and warm and fuzzy. Like my women. Wait, that might have come out wrong… let me go back and read it.
Nope, that sounds about right.
But this towel does have the Hulk on it – so it has that going for it! I do have the opportunity to use this towel at the beach seeing as I live on a coast and the beach is literally a 10 minute drive away. If you see a really buff guy at the beach with a hulk towel – then he stole it from me. 😦
Target Exclusive Marvel Legends Hulk (2008)
I wasn’t going to show this next – I have a bunch of other things to post that were in line first – but then I went to Target last night and was talking to the manager about getting the promotional material once they were done with it when I spotted this little beauty just put out!
Even the package is cool! The Incredible Hulk is on the top of the package and the back of the package has a few stats – including saying that his identity is… Secret! Wait… the identity of the Hulk’s alter ego that we know from reading the comics that have been coming out since 1962 is now secret? Well, crap.
But the best thing by far is that this guy TOWERS over the regular action figures. He’s huge in comparison! Now, we can only hope that they bring out an Abomination this size – hey, I might not like the design – but we need acuracy in these toys, don’t we?
Hulk vs. Spiderman Diorama (2006 )
This is one the best looking Hulk statues – besides Bowen (I’m a loyal kind of guy) – besides Hulk looking so massive compared to Spiderman but the look on Hulk’s face is so full of anger and rage – no other company has been so sucessful in capturing such raw emotion.
The base is rubble and I actually compare this base to the Marvel Milestones statue – and prefer the MM to this. There are really great parts – but there are pieces that look too plastic.
Also, for the massive size it is quite light which leads me to believe it’s completely hollow. But you can’t argue with the results. It’s still an amazing statue. The Spiderman looks agile and his quick fluid motions are displayed well here – too bad the statue itself isn’t as easy to display with both parts together. I have taken the Spiderman off and displayed Hulk alone because either Spidey blocks Hulk’s face – or you turn the statue completely around and having Hulk’s back to you.
Empire Magazine (2008)
So, this magazine finally jumped the puddle and made it’s way to the States. I reported about this mag a few months ago – but now it’s here! The cover is pretty sweet – really does capture the Deodato image amazingly well. I found this mag at Borders, actually, I kept going back looking for it. One of the people there noticed and told me to just leave what I was looking for and they would call me when it came in. And would you believe it? A few weeks later – they called! It’s nice to have a company that still gives you that kind of service.
Ummm… Part 16
Happy Birthday To Me!!!!!!!
Incredible Hulk Omnibus (2008)
So, I got home and found this package from my friend containing THIS! Thank you, Corry, for sending me this batch of Hulk goodness! The Omnibus has collected the first 6 issues, every TTA and Incredible Hulk #102! In full color! With letters pages! 10+ to Marvel for putting together such a great collection and even more props to Corry for sending me this ultimate Hulk package! Thanks! Happy Birthday to me!
The back cover that displays EVERY cover contained in this massive book! Included are the origins of the Leader and the Abomination! and of course the Hulk 🙂
Abomination Sneak Peek!
Randy Bowen is releasing an Abomination Full-Sized Statue. He’s released a sneak peek and I thought I’d show it here to get people all excited about it! The story on the different sizes of the ears is that Randy is putting some final touches on this statue and hasn’t decided just how long the ears should be yet. Leave a comment and tell me what you think. I like the longer ears better. Either way though, I’m sold already! It will be in scale with the Green Hulk just released. If you need to find out more about Bowen go to his website here
Hulk Play-Doh Mold (2005)
I have this little mold and thought I would share what it looks like when you press it. Crazy, huh? It’s hard to pull the Play-Doh out with out squishing the little Hulk guy – and he’s pretty detailed! Little holes in the pants at the knees and everything! It came with a Spider-Man mold, but you don’t come to this site to hear about him.
Here’s a shot of the Hulk pressed with the green Play-Doh. If you can’t see the detail – take my word for it – it’s there and it’s pretty cool to see.
Hulk Zoom N’ Go Chopper Trike (2008)
I still don’t think Hulk looks right on a vehicle. Especially when he can jump great distances. Why bother with a Hulk Chopper Trike? And is it even a cool thinkg to call what you’re riding a trike? If you’re over 5 and still riding a trike – you’ve got other issues to deal with. I think I’m almost through showing you everything from the first Movie Hulk haul – just in time for the second wave of Hulk goodies that are due in the stores on June 1st! But don’t worry – I still have PLENTY of things to show you…
