Hulk Mighty Muggs (2008)

mightymuggs hulk

I was going to wait to post this – but how can I?  Look at this thing!  Look how great this is!  It’s like a huge Lego Hulk guy – but even cuter!  Even the packaging is great!  I might even get another and paint it grey.  Maybe they will do a repaint themselves.  I would buy it in a second.

I found this at New England Comics this Wednesday.  I also saw a “Help Wanted” sign in the store – so I asked about it.  The 2 guys there said “Help wanted?  Ummm… I know the taco place down the way is looking for help.”  I pointed to the sign and said “No, it says you need help here!”  They two guys looked baffled and claimed they didn’t even know the sign was up there.  Gee, I wonder why they’re looking for new help…

Power Punch Hulk (2008)

Powerpunchhulk

This is the last of the 4 movie Hulk figures that came out.  There are still some to come out yet – a whole ‘nother wave in fact that has a glowing Hulk and an Abomination/Hulk 2-Pack.  Also, Hulk Buster Soldiers and a Hulk 7-inch figure.  The future looks bright!  It’s a great time to be a Hulk fan!  This figure comes with what looks like the top of a police car that The Hulk has ripped apart and he has grey pants.  Pretty sweet.

Lee’s Toy Review #137

Lots of sneak peeks at the upcoming greatness coming out.  The Wal*Mart and Target exclusives – but the Red Hulk on the cover is part of the Marvel Legends wave that comes out in September.  It’s the build-a-figure in the mix of these heroes.

  • Adam Warlock
  • Silver Savage
  • Wolverine
  • Spiderman (Black Costume)
  • Spiral – (Wait, who?)
  • Union Jack – ugh.

While I have no interest in the last 2 the BAF Red Hulk will be pretty great, even if it’s a bit out of scale with the Green Hulks produced by this line.

Giant Size Incredible Hulk #1 (2008)

giantsize hulk 1

This comic isn’t terrible.  Actually, it’s quite enjoyable.  Not the usual Hulk read.  It covers the stroy of Fred Sloan trying to write a story about the Hulk that willmake people understand him better.  Pretty fun read that covers a lot of the early Hulk stories.  An old guard that Rick Jones snuck past tells his side of what happened.  A little girl that was saved by the Hulk while on a bus that stalled on train tracks tells her story.  And even an old man whose life was ruined the day he ran into a car becasue he saw the Hulk and no one believed him.

They also reprint the Hulk Annual #7 (which is great because it is one that I am still missing!) With John Byrne’s art.  A welcomed flashback with a great story. B+

ToyFare #131 is Hulk-tastic!

toyfare131

So, we have a few sneak peeks at the Hulk toys that will be gracing the toy shelves this June.  The re-vamped, Target Exclusive Marvel Legends Hulk will be great!  Wal*Mart has an Abomination/Hulk 2-pack coming out.  They also have a quick section where they discuss Hulk’s best battles.  Although I think the list is skewed – a lot! – (Hulk vs. Thor is on the low end of this list!) it’s still pretty fun to see lists like these.  Especially when you disagree so adamantly.   On the shelves now!  Hulk on the cover doesn’t hurt either!

The Incredible Hulk #144 – The Quest is OVER!!!!

hulk144last15centissue

Yes, this issue was the one I was waiting for.  Th issue that I had such a hard time getting.  I won it off ebay – but never received it – had to file with Paypal, get a refund, wait for it to clear.  Hassle and a half.  But I wonanother and – it took almost twenty days to get it – but did get the comic.  Here it is in all its glory.  The best thing about this is that it was the last $ 0.15 issue.  Doom guest starred in this storyline where Doom wants to control the Hulk, use him as a weapon, but learns just how unpredictable the green Goliath is.  The quest is over and now I have EVERY issue of the Incredible Hulk!  I still have a few TTA to get – and I will post the pics of the entire Hulk comic collection – but I need a bit of time.  It was a while and a fortune to get every issue.  I need to take a breather…

Hulk Blanket (2008)

Hulk Blanket

Now I have this little fleece blanket to keep me all warm and toasty at night.  I don’t have a Hulk blanket and so – this is the first one – and that’s great!  Now I have the stuffed Pillow Pal Hulk to accent the blanket on my bed.  If you didn’t know me, and saw my room, you might mistake it for an 8-year old room.  I don’t care though… – I love it!

Hulk Movie Action Figure (2008)

Hulk Movie Figure 1

This is the Hulk figure out for the movie that doesn’t have a “special” move.  While the articulation is really great and the sculpt is pretty darn impressive the scale of these figures are a little bit of a let down.  They should be HUGE!  The paint is also pretty flat and no shading makes it pretty standard.  But I do genuinely recommend that everyone picks these figures up because they are so much better than the 2003 Hulk movie figures.

Weather Blitz Nerf Football (2008)

Weatherblitz

My friend Corry was supposed to come down and we were supposed to break this out and play catch or something.  Whatever you call it when you throw a football around.  I told him that I throw like a girl – but that wasn’t the complete truth.  I actually throw like a paraplegic girl.  A blind one.  This is why I never made it into the NFL.  Or was never asked to play in the neighborhood games – that were played in front of my house.  That my Father refereed.

Man, he was a jerk.

Zoom-N-Go Hulk ATV 4-Wheeler (2008)

zoomngohulk

This is one of two Hulk vehicles.  I really hope Hulk doesn’t drive a 4-Wheeler in the movie.  God, that would be terrible.  I’m not going to take these out of the packages – I like the packages too much.  If it really intrigues me – I will buy another to open up, but for now I am fine not knowing the intricate working details of this “Motorized Racing Action” toy.  Nice job on the sculpts of these toys though…

Planet Hulk vs. Silver Savage (2008)

plhulksiversavage

Straight from the pages of Planet Hulk come these two little fighting friends.  Although the Hulk has never really befriended any of the other Marvel Heroes the Surfer and him have never traded blows like this.  Until the Red King somehow had trapped the Surfer and made him fight.  Every curve ball the Red King threw at the Hulk – the Hulk triumphed.  Even battling this Marvel powerhouse!  As I would’ve loved to have a two-pack of Legends action figures I will settle for these little guys right here!
