As I finished my show on Monday I saw that the school was having a book fair. I looked around until I came across this sweet magazine. I haven’t fully read it yet – but it has an original story with the Hulk fighting and beating the Abomination – and then Abomination going and asking Iron Man to help him find a cure for him. Really interesting. This comes with a large poster inside, but you have to take the entire book apart just to get it out, so I’m not sure what it even looks like.
Wizard #37 (1994)
I was in Taunton the other day and in a small thrift shop – what did I discover? Wizard #37 from August 1994. This was just about the time that Gray Frank was leaving the Hulk and Peter David did an article seeking some respect. Some deserved respect. Bobbie Chase said she truly believes that Peter David had the Hulk book planned out for at least the next five years. Course we wouldn’t find out because he only lasted another. I like the cover illustration but I never thought Hulk should have a gun. There’s just no need for it.
The most interesting part of this old Wizard was taking a look back at the price guide. This was before CGC Grading even existed. A mint copy of Hulk #1 then: $6,200.00, and now: $21,500.00. What a difference 14 years make huh? How about#181? Then: $325.00, Now: $1,400.00 (but I’ve heard that they can go for up to $3,000.00) Pretty cool stuff, huh?
Tales To Astonish…
As the back issue quest continues I have been finding some good luck getting the Tales to Astonish. I am down to needing just 12 issues to complete the Hulk series. Of course, most of the ones I need are the oldest and in the 60’s. But here are a few pictures of the comics I found in Jan. They are:
#61
#68
#70
#78
#79
#82
#84
#85
#87
#90
#92
#94
and
#96
TTA saw alot of different artists – including Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers (to name just a few) which means alot of different versions of the Hulk. Worth checking out.
Watch This Right Now!
Probably one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a long time. And nice choices of Heroes to use! The Hulk is always a go to guy! Click on the image or right here
The End Hard Cover (2008)
Hulk Clock (2003)
Alot of stuff came out for the Hulk movie. Including this Incredible Hulk Collector’s clock. The little stoplight he’s holding does have actual blinking lights – and also doubles as the clock. Goodness, what a mug they put on this toy. You know how sometimes you see something so horrible – you wish you could help it in some way – put it out of its misery if needed? Yeah, that’s how I feel about this monstrosity.
Incredible Hulk #2 (1962)
I’m getting closer to owning every comic- and this was definitely a big score! A mint copy of Incredible Hulk #2 (minus the mint). This amazing piece of History has the first ever green Hulk! Not to mention Hulk fighting the Toad Men. See what goes down in this comic on the FIRST 6 page. I will soon house the most valuable Hulk comics I have in a frame so that I may display them and stare at them all day. That wil be great! No job, no life, just all day staring at my Hulk collection…
Okay, that may have gone over the line a bit…
TV Guide (2003)
Another Chance!!!!
This is getting down-right silly! You never see these for sale – and now this is the third for sale in, like, 3 months! I hope true Hulk collectors are taking advantage of these! This is being sold by the Stretch King himself – for a third party – but it does come with the rare original box. Make an offer! My offer was rejected. I offered love and a necklace of human teeth. Can you believe they rejected that?
Whatever! Guess they’re better than me! Click on the image for the link.
UPDATE: No takers on this one and was re-listed… the saga continues…
Hulk vs. Thing Bookends (1994)
I have been seeking these out since I saw them. They don’t come up too often on ebay, but if you are patient then you will see a pair pop up. Early, early Bown sculptures. I hate to say it – but the Thing came out amazing! Cooler than the Hulk. These are #1017 – with a production run of about 4000. No one’s sure exactly because the edition size was open to how many was ordered.
The art is based on Gary Frank’s art and these bookends were produced by Creative License. This is the year I graduated High School. I should’ve picked them up then. The best thing about these 2 is that the feet look like they are digging into the base. Man, I’m so happy I finally got these!
“HULK HAS LAZY EYE! HULK HATE HIS LAZY EYE!”
Bowen Hulk Busts (2007)
Randy Bowen has outdone himself here with these two extrordinary busts. Each sculpt mirrors the first appearences of the Hulk – the Grey Hulk with his ripped shirt and scowling mug – and the Green Hulk witht he same scowl – but bare-chesting it!
People have insinuated that these really aren’t busts – in the traditonal sense – because they have arms. Well since Bowen has already graced us with a true Hulk bust – and these two beauties came out so amazing, I’m not complaining! The green bust is limited to 2,500 (mine is #497) and the grey is limited to 2,000 (this is #536)

Last Post… Until I Move…
So, until I move this weekend I will not be able to make any posts. I will be back, hopefully by next week to show you more of my stuff. Take a look around the site – make comments – I really enjoy the comments – even if they are from Corry. When I return I will have a bunch more stuff to show you – including the new Bowen Busts, the Planet Hulk Bust, a great bunch of comics (including one of the original 6) and a couple of statues. That’s including anything else I may find in my travels.

Master Replicas Incredible Hulk #1 (2008)
Every time I opened a new part to this statue I just kept saying “Wow!” or “Holy crap!” This enormous statue is a little bigger than the Bowen Green Hulk and re-creates the cover to The Incredible Hulk #1. Even the backing of this statue is jaw dropping.
Let’s start with the fact that you receive 2 statues with this piece – A Hulk, of course, but also a Bruce Banner. Such detail went into this piece that they even made a wristwatch on the arm of Bruce Banner, underneath his lab-coat, you can’t even see it when you look at it dead on! But it’s there!
The size of this piece is awe inspiring. The Hulk, very Frankenstein-ish, looks just as he did when he first appeared, right down to his dead yellow eyes. I can’t say enough great things about this piece – and in a year that has had some great Hulk statues – that is saying a whole lot! It is limited to 2500 and this one is #423.
I bought this statue off ebay and got a really good price for it. If you pick up one Hulk piece – then you’re crazy. You need this statue, but then again, you need them all!
This statue comes in 4 pieces – packed away so nicely, it’s almost a shame to rip them out of the Styrofoam.
