The little grey guy in the front is a PVC figure from 1990. Thje 2 big mutha’s in the back are 13″ figures from the movie in 2003. And the weird looking green hulk squating on a rock is from some sort of game from 1979. He rolls. That’s all I can really say about that. Otherwise it’s another disgraced Hulk designed by a man who’s obviously not aware of how cool the Hulk is.
Hulk MiniMates (2003)
So, here we have the Hulk MiniMates. A green Hulk, a grey Hulk, and the naked, radioactive, green Hulk. They also did a Bruce Banner (which is how I looked like in high school), a Leader and a Rhino. The Leader is the best Hulk villian of all time so I’m glad that they made him – but let’s have the Abomination rather than the Rhino. The Rhino? What’s up with that?
Hulk Tennis Racket (1997)
I don’t play tennis – but maybe I wouldn’t need to if I showed up with this in my hands. The other player would be so afraid to hit the ball back that I would automatically win! I got this at Toy’s R Us back in ’97 and have never used it. I like the Hulk image and that it says the racket is “Over-sized” Well, of course it is.
Marvel Zombies Mini Mates (2007)
Super Sized Hulk (1991)
Hulk Videos (1990’s)
These are old enough that I actually used to watch these. For those young’uns out there – these are VHS tapes used with a VCR. The have no special features or animated menus – they only have the feature presentations. Actually, some had previews that you could fast forward through – but not skip over. Not really sure why I keep these – just can’t bring myself to throw them away. Bought them in the 90’s but not really sure when they were first released.
Hulk Football / Mini-Basketball (1996)
Small Plush Hulk (2003)
I got this from some of my biggest fans. They brought it to me because they knew I love the Hulk so much. It’s pretty ugly – but because of the sentimental value – it ranks pretty high on favorite pieces. I’ve seen some grotesque plush Hulks – none that I actually desire to get – but I’m glad I have this one.
Hulk Halloween Bucket (1978)
Yes – I did use this when I was a kid – and yes, that means I had it that long. I didn’t buy this when I got older or anything – it has survived through the years and made it into my collection as the very first Hulk piece I ever owned. Brings a tear to my eye when I think about it. Maybe not, but it’s still kind of cool.
Bowen Statue (2006)
Yes, this is another Bowen Statue, yes, this is my new favorite piece. My friend Corry was able to pick this up for me in New Jersey and I have the big grey statue facing off against the big green one on the top of my desk. This guy is 15 inches high and is #2152 out of 2500. Check them both out on the statues page. I know that there are a bunch of Hulk statues out there – but I only collect the ones I like. I don’t think Bowen can make one that I would not like – his statues and busts are the pinnacle.
Two Head (1997)
Hulk Mug (2005) 7-11 Big Gulp (2003)
The small mug came in a Superhero mug pack along with Spiderman, Wolverine and Captian America. The second was part of the promotions done at 7-11 for the Hulk movie. Should someone consume this much soda? No. Is the mug the coolest thing ever? Yes! It’s huge and holds 52 oz. That’s 1 1/2 Liters! Crazy.
Hulk Rollerskates (1979)
Hulk Skateboard (1997)
This picture doesn’t do this great piece justice. Each wheel has a little drawing of the Hulk on it and it is wrapped in plastic – to keep the condition pristine. I found this at Toys R Us and have proudly displayed this great piece for years. I’ve never seen this in any other collection or even on sale on ebay – maybe I have the only one…
Hulk Icons – Grey (2007)
I told you I would get this version! I posted the green version just a bit ago and now here is the grey – with a different head scuplt. Not only is it very McFarlane-esque I think it also makes him look like a vampire. That’d be a great story! Bruce Banner is bitten by a vampire – so instead of “Hulk Smash!” it would be “Hulk Suck Blood!” I’m writing Marvel right now.
